This is a great poem. I like how you portray God painting the desert. I guess he is the most awesome artist of us all! I'm not sure what you meant by the "desert rules" part. I found it a little confusing. You have created a beautiful image of God's creation and I would recommend this poem to others. Nice work!

Your lovely poetic piece and the art work described the Painted Desert as the amazing sight that it is. God worked His wonders with Mother Nature when they together crafted such a breathtaking sight. I lived nearby in New Mexico and the chance to visit the magical wonder of God's great earth a few times. It's a place that one never grows tired of the peace and tranquility of the shifting sand. I wrote a poem for this contest too, but it doesn't come near to your great work. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest... this is surely a winner!

I'm not sure what the painted desert is or symbolizes, but I must take your word.
I took this to mean, God is everywhere all the time. No matter what shifts and molds in our life, He is with us.
Nicely done. John

Hi there John,
The Painted Desert in Arizona is inside the Petrified Forest park. It is an amazing sight and changes from time to time. We go by now and then just to 'sit and stare'. :-) Go online and take a look, look closely, you just might see me on the horizon somewhere thanking God for such beauty.
Thanks for your fine review. Love and Merry Christmas and the best in 2015 to you and your family. Carolyn

Wonderful lune Carolyn. Nice alliteration used in shifting sands. Clever how you compare the sands in the deserts to a painting. The Lord's hand is indeed visible in all we see. Nicely done!
Kind regards
Sarah

I agree with you. I was in awe when I saw the painted Desert. It truly does look like a giant, abstract painting. The wind and shifting changes everyday.

I suggest an apostrophe in Master's. Aside from that your three lines have captured the power of this particular masterpiece. Wonderful use of alliteration with S and P.
