I love the picture. I love the poem. I love the topic. Yes, men suffer so much more from the little things. They can lose a leg and seem to suffer less than they do with a cold. I still love them. Good luck with the contest.

Women reach maturity, while men revisits their childhood. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words. Good luck in your contest.

This is a cute, whimsical Lunatika with more than a tad of truth attached. Men often need a lot of babying when they are sick (and lots of women don't mind supplying it). It's nice when it works in reverse, as well. Good luck to you, Jeanie Mercer

I like it. I specially like the last line. You say so much in that perfect line. Perfect style following all the requirements of this form.

Your poem is in good syllable count for this form
I love the question you ask, which is so true
My father was a big, burly steamfitter, but when he caught a cold he was a sniveling little child LOL :-) Brooke

Funny. Who knows why. the world is hardly fair. It may be because a woman will go to the doctor, while a man will wait until he can't walk to admit he is sick.

No, don't tell Larry this one, ha. It sure seems a joke, doesn't it? Although I must admit I am married to a rock, a hermit when he's sick, he takes care of my cancer shit, so he more than aok in my book. Best of luck with your writing.

In Australia we call a cold owned by a man as 'manflu'. I agree with this definition as I believe our heavier body mass means we feel it far more and deserve all the sensitivity our partners can muster. I never do. I love your poem and I give you props for ensuring that you might alienate half of your readership. Nicely structured, funny rejoinder in the last line.

I so enjoyed your review. 'Manflu", now that is funny. Yes, I have a lot of male friends here on FS and pondered if I should post this one. LOL So far no one has sent my computer a 'fatal' virus. :-) Carolyn
