A wonderfully told story, Bev.
You hooked me from the first sentence and kept me interested every word of the way.
Love your ending
:Leaning back against the bench, the vibrato of chimes from a nearby tree and sounds of nieces squealing in delight attest to a world bigger than we ever dreamed.
Yes, the world is ever-so-much bigger.
Hugs, d

Thank you, D. You've chosen another one of my personal favorites. I wish I had a bit more time for both poetry and short stories. But I've got to finish my novel first and then we'll see. I appreciate so much you're taking time to read. Hugs, Bev

Your story is touching and I enjoyed reading it. You could have reinforced the relationship between grandfather and grandson to give more importance to the fact that the grandfather came back to him. Besides that I really liked it and will keep an eye on your work.

Bev, this is a beautifully written, heartwarming story. I think its theme will resonate with many readers. Your descriptions are vivid. I love the interplay of Quint and Aggie which is a nice counterpoint to the supernatural experiences described in the story. Orb or not, I know our loved ones are present, really present with us.

I really wish I had a 6 left. This is a truly beautiful story--well-written, poignant, and uplifting. People who don't believe in miracles should.

Great story. Especially with the olympics going on. I wondered if Grandpa was going to materialize while they were talking. Nice, upbeat read. Best wishes. Ray.

This is such a wonderful story; which by the way actually bought tears to my eyes. I am a believer of life after death, and welcome any stories pertaining to that matter. This is such a richly rewarding story because it lends much food for thought. Nice job!

I had to look again to see if this was fiction or not because of my experience when my grandma said goodbye..I wrote about it here..it's in my profile..mine was true story that some reviewers thought was fiction. Not so..this stuff does happen to people, and I like how you wove a story so filled with love. Grandmas and Grandpas are special anyway, and to stand by those they love even after death is not uncommon..as I have found out since my grandmother's death. When you speak of him feeling grandpa's presence, I suddenly am aware that I can feel her presence with me at times. It isn't about speaking to her, or communicating with those who have gone on, but just a knowing in my spirit that she continues to watch over me..it gets heavy sometimes to the point of me not being able to ignore it. And, we did have that happen with a camera once..not a blue orb but an outline that looked an awful lot like my grandpa..watch and all. This piece brought me comfort, and I think it will for many who read it. Great job..a well deserved All Time Best!

Hi, gifted$1. Thank you so much for sharing your own experiences with me. That's so nice of you! And it only strengthens my own conviction there is something beyond this world that's wonderfully loving and supportive. My dad passed recently, and has been having quite a good time showing up in some very creative ways. So good to hear from you, and thanks again for the support! Warmest regards, Bev

What a delightful and heartwarming story! So many of us want to believe these happenings - my mother swore it happened to her when my father died. You spin us a beautiful , believable, inspirating tale. Lovely.
