This is a great free form poem. Seventy years is a long time for a friendship. I'm sure you have both weathered life challenges separately and together. Hopefully y'all have another thirty in you.

It would benefit you to check verb tenses and keep them consistent. For instance, most are past tense but one or two are not. Best wishes, Alex

From beginning to middle to end, I loved this read. I am so envious of this friendship. It is unusual for a friendship to last this long and withstand the test of time.
'Decades poured like fine wines from barrels' and 'through life's storms they huddled close' - just wonderful. I loved it all but especially the idea of you supporting each other through life's storms. That is the definition of true friendship. Being there come rain or shine.
