Thank you for sharing your life stories.... you made me smile.
I must be wrong because you are the published author but just questions....
'Brian was gone three and half (years?). Although not all at once; in and out."
"Steven weighed nine pounds and fourteen ounces at birth and was six weeks premature. (He only grew.)

Yes, I make mistakes. I'm shocked you're the only one who noticed these. I don't edit these short posts like I do my novels. I only edit a couple of times. Even though my novels are highly edited, I still mess up. That's why I pay editors. Jay Squires used to get upset with people who self-publish because when he'd read them there were hundreds of mistakes and these books were published. I appreciate your help.

You are an outstanding writer. Everybody make errors, I sure do.
I self published two books of haiku. It's hard and your friend is right, I'm sure I made some mistakes. I couldn't pay a publisher.

I do understand. Every time I write a check for the editor; I remember Jay's words. I hate it but know I mess up a lot.

Aaah, yes, as a mother of three boys myself, can I simply say that 'boys will be boys'.... That's the best I've got because it really underlines so much (and raising them actually helped me see things in my husband I hadn't really figured out before...). Thanx for sharing, Barbara! :-) Yvette

So true. Boys are very interesting, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you for understanding.

Now I see why you chose the artwork you did. I don't think you could have said your life was boring. You should make a book out of these stories. Very good opening paragraphs establish your responsibilities as the daycare center. It sounds like a time consuming job for which there was no overtime. I enjoyed reading both of your Steven stories.
I can't imagine the look on your face when you saw Steven being used as a football. I'm sure it wasn't funny to you, but it makes for good reading and humor. You probably thought Greg was being really helpful at the football game, and you were very proud of him until you saw why he had offered to help. I don't have any suggestion for a different ending. I think it works just right because the story is funny.
Do you remind your sons of these stories, especially if they have children of their own? I enjoyed reading it. On a side note, I was an only child and so was my son. It's definitely different:):) Thanks for sharing the stories.

I do remind them when their children do interesting things. Thank you for the kind review. I am making this into a book. Maybe just for family. We'll see.

You are very welcome and thanks for sharing in your reply.

Hello Barbara,
I love reading the stories about your family growing up. Kids provide so much entertainment, if we have the stomach for it. Thank God the baby was premature. If he had gone full term you might have had a twelve pound brute on your hands. Thanks so much for sharing.
Have a blessed evening.

My largest was 10 pounds eleven ounces. I think Steven would have beaten that one. Thank you for the kind review.

Holy Toledo gal! Jan just delivered babies in the six pound range. I can't imagine a baby that big. I guess that's what they invented C-sections for.
-
My only c-section was Steven and only because he got into trouble being born. We almost lost him and me.
-
Oh my, I'm glad you're both still here gal! Blessings.

You certainly had your hands full, my friend! I carried all my kids in the football carry. Use to freak people out.....but I would never drop them. Good read!!!

Thank you for the kind review. From a mom's viewpoint it looks dangers, plus they were passing him off. LOL

My husband used our youngest just like that. I had no idea how many young women would pay attention to cute babies. It gave me a break so I was more than happy to let him enjoy the attention. Brothers are usually good babysitters. Fun stories. Gretchen

using the new baby as a football was probably not a great choice, although the pictures suggests he has a pretty safe grip on him. Using him for a baby magnet makes great sense and takes the baby off your hands for a good amount of time. High school girls love to coo over babies even now. Although, now the baby's picture would be all over the internet.

Oh yes, every young man who wants to use all the sly methods in the book to attract 'babes', nothing like a baby to attract them, like bees to a honey pot, beautifully written dear Barbara, I had three brothers and one sister, another good method is one's sister, well done, blessings Roy
