Hello Robert,
I think we have an obligation to search out a matter. There is so much untruth out in the world today. It makes it all the more important to be very familiar with the Word, so that if what you're reading or hearing isn't lining up, you know it. Well done.
Have a blessed evening.

Robert, this is a great poem that makes you "check yourself". It's amazing how the Truth has to fight through so many devices and counterfeits trying to bring us into reality. Your rhyming and rhythm are on point. I agree with you in your notes about the importance of knowing WHY we believe what we do. It's amazing that you can ask a person about something they believe, and they can't give you a convincing answer for WHY they believe it. Take care, Daniel

Hello Daniel.
Thank you very much for your positive and uplifting review. I appreciate your comments about the content of the poem. Many people might believe anything if it suits a whim, but it is important to know why we believe what we do.

Robert,
This is an exceptional poem. I like the tempo of your rhyme, and I really like the image you portray.
Truth often gets lost, but sometimes it is the victor.
Fantastic poem, Robert.

Blessings,
Cindy

The category says that this is spiritual. I found myself relating it more to the current political environment and news on social media in general. Very well done.

Hello Nicole.
Thank you for reading and reviewing my poem. The reference for the poem is that we are inundated daily with information from many sources much of which is not true. As a Christian, I believe we need to discern what is real and what is not. I allow the reader to assign the meaning to whatever circumstance they wish. The purpose of the poem is to state that we not only need to know what's true, but we also need to understand why we believe that. This can certainly apply to the political and social world.

-Good artwork and nice presentation, Robert.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-A well written poem with effective imagery and rhyme.
-A good opening verse with a good question.
-A good second verse about truth wanting to
"find receptive minds." Effective use of personification, as well.
-A very good concluding verse about finding "real peace."
-Very well done.

Robert, I like the way you've rhymed every other line throughout the three stanzas - what a great flow it creates.
And you're an artist too! You've created and presented a pleasing presentation here. My tearful eyes won't be drying today, but it is what it is, as they say.
Take care,
xo

Thank you, Pam.
I am grateful for your positive review and very kind words. I appreciate the acknowledgement of my rhyme scheme in this one. As you may have noticed, rhyme and meter are extremely important to me. I have always been a fan of the formalist style of poetry. I think it's easier to deliver a message this way.
Thank you for the comment on my art. I decided since I've come Since coming back here, I decided generate my own graphics for each poem or short story.

I really loved this. It's got such a strong message within. The image is perfect to represent it also. My favourite line. When truth prevails we and souls accept we feel our doubts go flying. Its so true and sometimes we can be so blinded superficial that we do need to look deep into our soul and accept the truth of it.
Well done excellent work.
Best Wishes

This is so much a reality of life. Sometimes I wonder, how we live in self denial then face the consequences later. Well done. This is very apt and instructive. Thanks so much for sharing your inspiration. I really enjoyed it.

I totally agree! Today's "news" sources are bent only on extracting emotions for their viewers. They have no intent on just giving us the facts so we have to prayerfully listen and ask the Spirit to guide us.
In all the political ads, I find that they dredge up awful stuff about the opponent and give us only half-truths.

Hello Helen.
As believers, there are many references to discernment in scripture. One that stands out is 1 John 4:1. We have to always be on our game because of this barrage coming at us. I have not watched a newscast on television in weeks. Gunsmoke reruns are great. There are over 600 of them.

I'm not a social media person, but I know it's very influential now in spreading "information." When that's all young people are exposed to, they aren't going to be very informed citizens. They hear so many things that are alleged to be true. Good point in your notes that we know why we believe as we do. Excellent work with your rhyme and flow in this. An important subject to consider. judi

Hello Judi.
Thank you for your positive review and comments about this poem. Social media is a sewer in my opinion. My publisher made me get a Facebook account and I ignore it. It doesn't do a thing for me.

You're welcome. I don't pay any attention to social media. I know a lot of my relatives are on it, but to me there are better means of communication. judi
