This book has been a magnificent endeavor. I've enjoyed every chapter as you and Rachelle described your different versions, demonstrating wit, humor, creativity, and exemplary writing. I've laughed, gotten angry, wiped tears from my eyes, disappeared into gripping imagery, sang along, and laughed again. Thank you for including FanStorians in your final scene, and for extending an invitation to add to the story. This has really been fun.

This has been a fun journey with you and Rachel in the road trip to New Jersey and I have enjoyed all of the follow up stories from the various participants on story. I think most of my detours in life could be over, after all it takes money and a great deal of energy to go on a road trip, how do I know? I've been on countless one here and overseas, four trips to New York at 23 hours in the air, both ways, (and one convention) and countless ones to Asia and Europe, beautifully written Gretchen, great series, blessings Roy

I think most of my detours in life could be over, after all it takes money and a great deal of energy to go on a road trip, how do I know? I've been on countless one here and overseas, four trips to New York at 23 hours in the air, both ways, (and one convention) and countless ones to Asia and Europe, beautifully written Gretchen, great series, blessings Roy

This broadens our mind and helps understand the challenges other people face in life. I am so glad you mentioned this in your post Gretchen. It sounds like you learned a lot on this adventure Gretchen and it widened your scope as a writer. As you know, I am your biggest fan as you always bring a story together with good metaphors and humour. This was a fascinating trip. Those detours make the journey special and memorable. I don't think there's ever been so much interest in a FanStory event, and this was an event. I thought it was funny about asking Tom for extra stars. I was disappointed that Rebekah chose not to follow up with her musical career. She was certainly gifted, and she will always torture herself that she did not seize the opportunity. I wonder if she had had ample opportunity to make the decision, and if she would have had time to prepare for a concert. This was delightful reading. judi

The entire story was many things--very funny, sweet at times, and outrageous in your portrayal of a most unusual and unforgettable character, Jane Babies.
I also appreciate that you and Rachelle let us add a chapter of our own to the story. It made the whole experience that much more enjoyable.
This has been a remarkably fun experience reading this story, which was so clever in its conception. I'd love to see the two of you collaborate on another one some time. Thanks for the privilege of reading Detour.
