Yes, redheads are amazing in green. You have style in your writing. From the socially inept Jane to the motherly feelings treating Rebekah. Amish artists I think of as cooks and carpenters, not opera singers, but why not? Love it. Esther

Absolutely! Why not?! Her mom was, after all!

This chapter is so you. I've said that before, but this one is probably more so. Without your notes, I knew that the music was perfect for the new student. It's just something that you know. Then there is the dress shopping. Of course you need green sequins.
The "obnoxious barnacle" even grates on my nerves. She is the perfect addition to the saga.

Hahaha. Thank you, Debbie. She has definitely been the character all the reviewers love to hate! Gretchen and I have been loving all the feedback that way.

Thank you for all this encouragement and for the additional stars, as well. Totally appreciated. xoxox

Ran out of sixes, so this five and a thumbs up will have to convey how entertaining this chapter and all of the preceding ones have been. I enjoy the interaction of the lovely Rebekka and the living curse Jane.

Hi there!

I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter. You really know how to write an annoying character like Jane. She seems so real and such a contrast to Rebekah.

As always, I love the descriptions and sensory details, especially describing the emerald dress! I'm a red head too!

I can't wait to see where this story goes next!

I'm so excited for Rebekah.... i can visualize how beautiful she looks. It would be fun to shop for her and watch her beautiful face's expression.... like a child in a candy shop.

Well done. I hope you can get rid of Jane. Is she a real person in your life? I hope not. LoL

Well done, I love it.

This was a delightful chapter in every way, Rachelle. I loved how you interspersed the wonderful experience you all were having with the annoyingly funny interruptions from Jane. You have made her so stereotypically annoying that she provides great comic relief.

And your and Gretchen's inner thoughts and reactions to her are priceless. The "I lost a bet sign," Gretchen's "suddenly sounding like a perky game-show host," and your apology to the clerk were great touches.

It was delightful hearing about Rebekah's reactions to the whole experience and your joy in enabling this for her. I would be surprised if she doesn't take to this new life, especially if her musical experience goes well.

Just a charming, heartwarming, and very humorous chapter.

Hello Rachelle,
put simply, this posting was outstanding gal. I didn't understand all the clothing jargon, but I could feel the excitement that you describe as Rebekah is getting fitted out. It's too bad there wasn't a smut store nearby that you could drop off loudmouth into. It sounds like she'd be right at home there. One question, your picture shows you wearing black, why not green gal? This was delightful for sure. Well done.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

That's one of my "professional pianist" photoshoot ones, so those are always black dresses. You'll have to just use your imagination, I'm afraid. But you're a writer; you've got a great imagination!!

Good suggestion for what to do with Jaaaaane!

Thanks for thecfabulous review. I love it. Xoxo

Hi Rachelle, this is another fine chapter, but I must say that you've described the fellow traveller from hell in the good/evil Jane. I wouldn't like to be anywhere near her. What a great story, Ulla, xcx

It's so funny, Ulla; every reviewer absolutely despises her! They're pretty much all asking when we're ditching her. But she'll be at the convention! So get ready for mayhem! And thank you for this fun review. Xo

great chapter.
I know every story has to have a "villain" but you and Gretchen outdid yourselves with Jane. What a total jerk, and that's the nicest insult I could think of. I hope your cousin, Tova appreciates your efforts.
BUT, also, what fun, the shopping trip (for you both:)
I think, if you can get rid of Jane, this story ending will be a happy one all the way 'round, with a bit of your typical humor thrown in for good measure.
