nice poem about autumn and the changing season like these lines the best

Trick or treat and Thanksgiving,
geese that honk in the sky;
enter autumn on the wing~
kiss summer days good-bye.

Autumn is my favorite season because of many of the things you've mentioned in this poem. The beautifully earth colors of the leaves, the fall harvests, the color weather. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem with us.

Gail,
This is a nice poem, touting the best season of the year. (You forgot mentioning football!) lol.
Really a great poem, Gail.
Nice imagery.
Best wishes,
Cindy

Thank you so much, Cindy. It's my favorite season, too. (Including Packer football--first pre-season game today--we won!)

You are definitely bringing in autumn with that poem. Lovely Fall descriptions. As much as I love Autumn, I am not ready yet to let summer go, so I hope we can hold off a bit longer. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much! I agree, I love fall, but not quite yet. Although we've now gone from 90-100s & humid to 60s & chilly nights so it feels like fall. I like Indian summer weather--70s & sunny, no humidity.

There thought of Autumn gives me the chills as the weather has only just warmed up over here. Halloween provides a little light relief, a fine post, love Dolly x x x

Thanks so much! I would like fall to hold off awhile yet, too. We've just gotten rid of our humid, hot weather, but not a cold front has brought chilly "fallish" nights. Can't win, I guess.

Nooooo! Not yet!! Not yet!! Although it's my favorite season (the colors always go with my red hair...), I'm not ready for it just yet. (For TWO WEEKS NOW, the stores in our area here in Upstate NY have had their HALLOWEEN displays outs!! It is SOOO ridiculous!)

But I do love your poem. You captured all the sights and sounds and tastes and feelings of the season, for sure, highlighted with the perfect picture esnsconced in a love rust-colored border. Nicely done.

Thank you so much, Rachelle! Fall is my favorite, too, but I'm not ready for it quite yet. We had a month of heat and humidity (I hate having air conditioning on) that finally ended, but now we had a cold front and the nights are definitely "fallish". Hoping for a little more summer before Sept.

Sometimes here, September can be quite warm yet, too.

I really love your poem. I can't believe summertime is almost over and the leaves will be changing colors for fall. I love how you describe fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving in your poem. All your words rhyme. Excellent Poem. I can't wait to read your next one.

Chilly reminders here amidst the scents and scenes of the approaching season of Autumn fill these stanzas with such realistic scenes- let's hope this season is still some distance away!!

Thanks so much! I love fall, but I don't want to see it quite yet~although our temps have dropped and nights are chilly this week.

We're closing in on the end of summer. I am looking forward to seeing me autumn leaves turning their beautiful colors and the cooler temperatures. Since May we have had almost every day has been over 100° and I'm tired of the very extreme heat. It is 103 here right now. Patricia.

Thanks so much, Patricia. I love fall, but I'm not quite ready for it yet. Our hot muggy weather ended this week at last, but our temps dropped and our nights got chilly. I'm sure glad we don't have your temps. My cousin lives in Las Vegas and their temps have been 110+ for weeks.

Oh yes, the weather is a little on the turn down this way, we are about to enter springtime, the weather is generally warmer. This is beautifully written in 7676 meter and abab rhyming, an excellent ode to autumn, articulate and expressive, well done, blessings Roy

Thanks so much! Our hot, humid stretch of weather finally ended, but now the temps have dropped and nights are chilly. No happy medium.
