As I've often said, when it comes to poetry, I wouldn't know a sonnet from sorbet. But I always enjoy reading what others have to say, and hope that I can decipher their poems as they've intended them to be understood. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for stopping by!
Comment from Jasmine Girl
I like this poetic style, triple lines with a refrain on the last line of the first stanza. Then only the last word "Rainbow" is repeated and then it ends in "Indigo" which is rhymed by "indigo".
Well done.

Your contest entry read well, Mystery Author. I enjoyed
reading it. Indigo, to me, is the most difficult color in a
rainbow to see. I liked how you explained what it is. I liked
internal rhyme real/teal. I liked the way the last line was
repeated in art until the very last.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Wonderful entry for the contest. You described the color wonderfully. This flows well. I enjoyed reading it. I didn't know that indigo brings or associated with love, wisdom or even intuition. I may have to get something in indigo.

Hello author, I love this poem. Blue is such an interesting color. It is deep in meaning. I especially liked:
Get real! I'm not teal
Nor ever confused with red
(Some of us need to get our eyeglasses checked - lol.)
Well done. And now I'll leave you my signature sign-off,
keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

I enjoyed this poem of the colors found within a rainbow, as well as the repetition of the words. Also I liked the changes from "Not by teal" and not by me" to "I am.:
