Good Lord Lady,
Why haven't I read more of your writing before? What a gift you have. Why aren't you higher in the ratings? That makes no sense. I went back into your portfolio and am so impressed. I see that you give me no choice but to become a follower, however often you write. I suppose it should come as no surprise that you can write so well, since you're involved in teaching music. I happen to love music, but couldn't play a note if my life depended on it. In any event, well done gal. It was a pleasure to read this.
Have a blessed evening.

Well, what a DELIGHTFUL review THIS is! My goodness! Thank you for your warm words of encouragement; I couldn't appreciate them more. Thank you!
I'd been very active on here, contributing chapters to my book, A Fly on the Wall, and entering contests daily. But then I discovered that there's a member who wins contests constantly with mediocre (at best) offerings, so it's obvious cheating is afoot, and Tom couldn't care less. So it took any desire out of me to continue to participate. It's pretty sad, but I've done what I could.
Nonetheless, thank you for having re-lit my pilot light here. I appreciate the writer-to-writer feedback and encouragement. I'll love having you as a fan. Thank you for wanting to come on board. Xo
And PS, we who do music need you audience members who can't necessarily play it but heartily love it all the same. So never feel bad if you don't play an instrument. Music belongs to us all in a variety of ways! (I have a published book, Lessons in the Key of Life, that, if you message me your address, I will send you with my love and appreciation for your sweet review.)

Rachelle...
If you thought I had forgotten about my promise to review this outstanding post, you were right--at least until now (better late than never?).
As you may recall, I didn't review "Feverence" right away because, in spite of my normal propensity for spewing forth hyperbolic superlatives in rapid-fire succession laced with lethal doses of exuberance and effusiveness, I had no words. This post is outstanding and the risk of "pouring it on too thick" and looking like a deranged sycophant was simply too great--so I waited.
After reviewing many of the reviews you received from others, I realized they had the same problem I did. Namely, with varying amounts and degrees of accolades, compliments, and praise, there are only so many ways to say, "Congratulations on your exceptional work." After much research and reflection, allow me to say, "Ditto."
I am truly impressed, Rachelle. In the immortal words of John Adams (to Thomas Jefferson) in the Broadway musical, "1776," you write ten times better than any man in Congress, including me."
Kudos to you...

This was outstanding. I was laughing through the entire piece and I'm a guy. Oh, I wish I could get a 'feverence' color from my gal! If you had titled this 'Highlandish' or anything close, I would have burned my laptop. Kudos.

Ciao ! Mystery author , you have 14 votes now.
I love your invented word , it gives me sizzling thoughts and your narrative was tantalizing.
That must have been one hell of a first romp to produce such an emotional (after )chain reaction.
It's 24.25 here and I m snug in bed .. a great read to end my day.
Thanks and night !ð??´

This is a great piece of descriptive writing the comparisons you use throughout are just fantastic. Thank you for using a great sized font so I could enjoy each moment of this text. It's erotic/sexy without being blatant or vulgar. It is just great writing with an easy on the eyes visual. lol Memorable writing that is a possible winner, at least in my book.

I hope you're right!
And thank you for the very helpful review. I especially appreciate that you found it steamy-but-not-vulgar. That was exactly what I was hoping to achieve.

You are welcome. I wish only the best for you in the contest.
Comment from Terry Broxson
Your story is outstanding for this contest! I think it will be a strong entry. The entire story is well=written, but I especially liked the paragraph about the bead of sweat dripping. A very nice twist ending! Terry.

Well written story filled with wit and good humour. I like your new word - it seems a very appropriate choice for this delicate state of falling in love. Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

What can I say? It's a jumble of mixed metaphors and yet somehow that fits in the state of flux "she" is in!
It's SO over the top I can't stop giggling...
Twelve million stars for the oh so clever "DM" that brings us full circle...
I hate that I love this!
I guess I am the hopeless
romantic I feared!
Feverence....
Clever!

Well oh my goodness. That leaves a reader all hot and bothered. I must say that you have a gift to write. Very descriptive and colorful. I didn't see any errors in grammar. Nice work. I'm gonna go take a cold shower . . .

Don't forget the soap, you dirty boy!! Thank you for a quite one-of-a-kind review!
Comment from Brandon Clark
You did a great job addressing the topic! I nearly missed it at first, because
Feverence appears to actually be a real word! At least, maybe from the Victorian era or something, but real looking none the less.
Great Job! Thank you for sharing your work!

Nooo! I had no idea!! Wow!! Thanks for the information about that! It does sound like something from the Victorian area, though...akin to "I have a case of The Vespers." Thanks for the fun review!
