JLR,
Nice chinquapin poem! I can feel the heat rising from roads and sidewalks; in PA a hot day like that would be accompanied by thick, stifling, humid air.
Very good chinquapin.
Good luck!
Blessings,
Cindy

Seriously!
A Cinquain that speaks to my own intolerance of extreme heat! Pass the lemonade, crank up the fan... A/C? Even better! Bacon should
"Sizzle"--- me? Not so much!

Hahaha! I so fully agree, Ice Cold lemonde, please! 😊

That would be perfect this 94-degree day!

Your poem is very well presented with the inclusion of that image! Yes, I understand that sort of heat, as we sometimes get it up to 115 or more here, and it's horrid if there is also high humidity. Well written.

Too hot, too humid, too little shade, UGH~ my sympathies to you, ❄️❄️❄️☃️☃️

JLR,
Wow! A hundred and four in the shade! Now that's getting hot! Makes me think of melting moments. What for? Not sure, but I think I would stay with the cool mountain air next time rather than swelter in the heat by the shore.

Man, what a dad will do for one of his adult daughters. I call this unconditional love in overdrive 🐻🐻🙏🙏

This is a common problem worldwide. The hot places are getting hotter still, the wet places, wetter still, and the windy places, windy still. There seems to be no escape from it!

Good job on your contest entry, JLR.
I like the way the road trip progressed.
Your syllable count is correct per line.
Summer is sizzling here at 107* the
last few days.
Bet wishes in the contest, Jan

It is unbearably hot here, too. I like your poem. It starts out great with a road trip, then continues describing conditions. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Great poem and very timely. It seems like Temps are soaring everywhere and there's nothing we can do about it. I really like your contest entry, best of luck. :)

Much too hot for me!! One hundred and four??? Crikey! That IS hot! We don't get temperatures like that here in the UK, thank goodness. Your cinquain poem is well written, and enjoyable to read. Well done and good luck. :)) Sandra xx

This poem did make me chuckle as I wipe the sweat from my brow lol. I love the yellow in the picture as it adds to the topic. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend.
