This poem allows the reader to imagine what could be, when a person chooses to speak about the unseen damage that harsh words may cause. The content is very relatable for many readers, in my opinion, and the writer quickly drives the point home in a few short words. Adding the Easter references was a nice touch as well.
The poem takes you right in to the heart of the matter and pushes the reader forward, although I expected to be led to a place to pause and resolve the problem of always serving others by becoming their dartboard.

This is a powerful write with much hurt behind these words as you are scarred by the memory of being treated badly and had abuse hurled at you. Try and put such thoughts behind you, often people who hurl abuse have the problem, not the victim, a poignant write and I hope writing this poem opened up the wound so that it can now heal, love Dolly x
