I love pansies, especially in the early spring when they can withstand the last frosts boldly. We see them being rained upon and I really like your personification ("purple tears"). But even though you use only 25 syllables, your poem seems wordy because of the prepositions and adverbs. For example, compress lines 1-2: Rain patters a basket of pansies.
