So if a real Republican
Should win this year's election,
Your freedoms will stay right in place
Unless it's one selection.
If Donald Trump is president
Bid farewell to your freedom,
Cause everything you've known before
Will vanish if you seat him.
He'll privatize the roads you drive
On every bridge a toll,
His cronies will get richer on
Their money-making roll.
He'll privatize the public schools;
For some no education,
He won't permit the lower class
To pass their lower station.
He'll privatize the prisons and
His friends will buy a share,
His franchise brand, Eternal Trump,
Will lock "the woke" in there.
He'll privatize utilities
You'll have to dig a well,
To find some water for your meal
And bath if you should smell.
He'll privatize the Fed for sure
"Ivanka's good with numbers",
And monetary policy
She dreams of in her slumbers.
He'll privatize all hospitals
So if you're feeling ill,
You can't go there unless you have
A million dollar bill.
He'll seize upon your oil and gas
To auction to his friends,
Inflating prices just for you
While they get dividends.
He'll auction New York City off
(It's democratic blue),
The Saudis with the highest bid
Might let you live there too.
He'll tax the low and middle class
The wealthy need some breaks
As God sees billionaires as best
Except for that Bill Gates.
He'll keep the border open though
And say he built the wall,
He really needs your anger hot,
And fearful most of all.
He'll stock your armoury with guns
And stoke your hatred more,
The armies will be filled with sons,
And daughters of the poor.
If limbs were blown away in wars
You're banned from his events
He won't allow discomfort that
Your sacrifice presents.
And free speech will be gone my friend
He'll gag the population,
With NDAs for everyone
Across the total nation.
O Trump's faux freedom flag would fly
From prison cells and jails,
And "lock her up" will be the chant
If "shes" won't cede to males.
Tis this division they with bring
We really ought to listen
For this is what Trump plans to do
And by his own admission.

This poem should be posted everywhere. It should be a flyer put on every parked car at his rallies and everywhere else!
This man is clearly a narcissistic arsehole but is he more than that?
We know he?s dangerous and his rhetoric is dangerous and it?s evident his cronies will support him and do his bidding for him.

How is every word of that true? Okay, for a minute, let's forget that these ravings are from people in a foreign country, dumping on and fear mongering Americans. For Americans, think, you know we do not serve a President. We know our Constitution governs our Republic. We know the President only presides over 1/3 of our national government. We know there are checks and balances on any leader's power. We also know these fear tactics were used before Trump's first term and none, exactly Zero of those nightmare fear predictions came true. So, why do the people who do not live in America, who isn't going through what we have lived through the last 3 years continue to meddle in our elections? Why are they not concerned about their own national issues?

Steve, I've posted enough political posts on the main site for the moment as I know that the larger percentage of active members, are Trump supporters so clearly they don't see him as posing any danger. They see Biden as the dangerous one who is hell-bent on the absolute destruction of the USA.
Jimi you are right that the Democrats have to do a MUCH better job of messaging, so maybe some windshield flyers are just the thing. And a ton of local radio broadcasters would certainly be an asset as well because they aren't getting their message out.
Lance, I'd be afraid of anyone, and especially a presidential candidate who says the "late, great Hannibal Lecter is a wonderful man" like Trump has done.
Trump was clearly talking about the fictional guy who eats people. And he said the serial killer/cannibal is "great" and deserves our "congratulations." Do you think Hannibal Lecter is a wonderful man too or is he even a fictional character of strong moral fibre that we should all look up to and emulate? Why did Trump choose Lecter over Jeffrey Dahmer or Richard Chase? They were both American born serial killers/cannibals.

Here's what I think, Gloria. Some people who cannot vote, has no vote, suffers no consequence for being wrong, nor benefit for being right, spends an awful lot of energy and time judging and commenting on the life of neighbors while ignoring the burning sofa in their living room. Now, the real question is why? Also, is TDS fact or fiction? When looking through the political poetry and stories on FanStory why is an overwhelming amount of Anti-Trump content from people from countries outside of the USA? Why aren't Americans writing and ranting about PM Trudeau or any other imperfect leader? I'll give another fun fact. Most Americans fully understand the President has very little effect on their lives. We know our local political leaders are far more important. Most of the laws and policies we live under are from our states, not federal. We know the President has very little control if any over the individual states, counties, and cities we live in. So, it's not that we don't care about Trump or Biden, nor are the majority of us supporters of either. The truth is, they simply aren't that important to us. So... why are they so important to you?

Politics has been a life-long involvement of mine so of course I would post on a political forum on a writing site. Go ahead write a rant about Trudeau and I'd be sure to read it. If you have understood your material well enough I might even agree with you as I am a Conservative.
In answer to your question about Trump Derangement Syndrome I believe it is true, and you see it in his most avid supporters who scream and shout at how the election was stolen from him, all the trials are witch hunts, he's being persecuted, Jesus is my saviour, Trump is my president etc. etc. Point me in the direction of all the anti-Trump poems and political stories posted by members from other countries as the most of the posts I can recall were written by Americans. So I'd really like to read them.
Here's a fun fact for you. In Canada provincial laws are created by the provincial legislatures and are specific to each province. These laws cover a wide range of areas, including education, health care, transportation, and more. The federal government has its own set of laws that apply across the entire country. So how is that different from your system of government?
If these things are not so important to you, why are you here?

Now, I am confused. It seems, intellectually, you agree with me, about how unimportant Trump or any President is in the lives of Americans. Also, given he was President for four years, you don't point to any damage he did to America or American rights. So, why the fear mongering?
It seems you really dislike or hate Trump, but you are Canadian. What has Trump done to you?

I don't hate or dislike Trump and I have no burning desire to see him jailed. I was a fan of his since the early 1980s. When did you first become aware of him and how?
That said, the courts should deliberate with the evidence and facts and apply the law equally to all. If he has committed crimes that others have been imprisoned for, Trump must be treated likewise.
I guess the more important question is why do you like Trump? What has he done for you?

Lancelott, you need a new tactic, the old one of trying to deny other fee-paying members here a voice is clearly not working.
The reason people from other countries have a right to hold and voice an opinion is this:
It does not help one iota in attempting to pursue a stable and peaceful global community if the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet is batshit crazy.
He has already demonstrated that he wants to create a dictatorship. He refuses to accept the result in any election he doesn't win. He invokes the services of police and the military to serve his own purposes. Where that fails, he seeks to build militias that will ensure he gets his way.
He, with a good possibility of some success, seeks to get himself granted immunity from prosecution for crimes he has and will commit.
He is an isolationist, attempting to drive a wedge between his own country and those who have been long-term traditional allies.
If this man gets elected again, your country will never be the same. To be honest, I don't particularly care about that. I have friends that I would worry greatly for (even more than I do now), but as you love to point out, there's nothing I can do about that.
What I worry about is the apocalypse this lunatic could bring down upon all our heads. Apart from his recently stated admiration of Hannibal Lecter, don't forget he's expressed his great admiration for Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin, while managing to insult, in his unique style, virtually every friendly country's leaders.
Anyone who doesn't want to see international diplomacy and rule of law (such as it is) go to hell is concerned that this man should receive justice for the crimes he has committed and never be allowed to hold the office he has irrevocably damaged again.
So you can bleat all you like about how we ignoramuses in the rest of the world have no right to take an interest, but we beg to differ. That's why you are wasting your breath.

Gloria, honestly, I neither like nor dislike Trump as a whole. I could do without much of his irritating personality, but as President, I found his actions and policy goals admirable and beneficial to America. Now, I did not say the world, just America. I do not believe the American President is the leader of the free world. That's garbage. Nor is America the most powerful nation. That's a lie too. China and Russia are just as powerful and have at least an equal impact on the world. I did Agree with Trump's trade and immigration policies. Were they the best for the world. Maybe not, but leading the world is NOT the job of the American President. That is not why American elect him/her. We elect our President (directly) to represent our interests and lead our federal government. I am not a globalist. If people from other countries let their nation become so dependent on America, or who leads America, then that shows those nations have become lax, and let their sovereignty falter. Those people need to ask their leaders, "Why have we let ourselves become dependent on a nation we have no say, control, or vote in? What have we done?" I question those from other nations who constantly rant about a man, who for the last three years has been a private citizen, when they could've been speaking to their own leaders, about making their own nations strong and independent. Trump wants America to control it borders. Good idea. Trump wants America to manufacture its own goods, rather be a slave of imported goods. Good idea. There is nothing wrong with the leader of a nation wanting to put that nation first. That's as it should be. I would never put another family above my own. If America sneezes and Australia wipes its nose, then Australia has a problem.
