Amidst the clouds you’ll find him there
Beneath heaven’s glorious sun
Chartreuse flecked with emerald greens
Defiant and rebellious one…
Each night he calls within my dreams
Fervent and seductive his tone
Gold eyes that quell my deepest fears
His magic fuels my inner soul…
Immortal we’re forever linked
Journeymen on the wings of time
Kinship sealed in battle and blood
Lives touched with a hint of sublime…
My heart has long since abandoned
Nurturing a want for a mate
Old fashioned ties too limited
Painful loss would promise heartache…
Quarrelsome though my mount may be
Ready to fight even at rest
Still he steadies me and I, him
Two as one yet separately blessed…
Underneath magic's cloak we fly
Voiceless invisibility
Wizards may flaunt they’ve found peace yet
Xandros and I know tranquility.
Yes, though this world may see us no more
Zephyrs still whisper, “Come, rider…Soar!!”
