All little boys need heroes,
That certain one of a kind.
Someone to admire and look up to
But they're kinda hard to find.
A hero that can stay on a bronco,
or ride herd on cattle all day.
A cowboy that can twirl his pistol,
Like the legends of ol' Zane Grey
A hero that catches the villain
And makes him pay for his deed.
A cowboy with "pearl handled" pistols,
Who rides a very fast steed.
They need a cowboy tall in the saddle,
Someone with fists of steel
A hero that rides into the sunset
At the end of the very last reel.
All little boys need heroes,
A fact that is certainly plain.
But who is left to look up to,
Without Cooper, Scott and Wayne?
