Watching TV all alone
Channels change on their own
Unseen fingers in my hair
Pillows moving on the chair
Cats chasing orbs of light
In the middle of the night
Smell of pie when I make toast
Oh dear, I think I have a ghost
When he lets me know he's near
Should I run away in fear?
Hire Ghostbusters today
To come chase that spook away?
Or just let the ghostie be
He really isn't hurting me
He doesn't drink, doesn't eat
But often messes with the heat
He never makes a stink
Or leaves messes in the sink
But if he's costing me a cent
I'll need a way to charge him rent

Author Notes
My TV channels have been changing on their own lately. I thought maybe a cat had stepped on the remote, but both cats were curled up on the couch by my feet and the remote was on the coffee table beside me. It inspired this poem.
