Take these teardrops with you on your journey to the sea,
Oh, take them peaceful river so far away from me.
Perhaps you hold the secret in pearly depths below,
A way to heal this broken heart if only I could know.
I'll gladly trade these teardrops and all my tomorrows, too,
For just one hour of yesterday and the happiness I knew,
Or cast them on a distant strand of some island of regret,
Then the further I walk down memory's lane,
The easier it will be to forget.
