Recognized Author Notes Black Caviar has just been retired from racing, her owners felt she needed a rest. After entering and winning twenty-five races from twenty-five starts she reminds us of the wonder horse Pharlap - he was never beaten. Every nation needs heroes and the little mare gave us her all. I don't follow horseracing (I think the only way to follow a horse is with a shovel!) I do have a passion for horses.
