Ryan, a bushy, brown wildcat, came from the Catskill Mountains. He was an ambitious feline and graduated from college. Then he became sheriff of a small town in Wild Cat Township in Riley County, Kansas. All the cats respected him. One day a gunslinger cat came to the town. "I'm gonna shoot you, Sheriff," said the gunslinger. Then he repeated, "I'm gonna shoot you, Sheriff." "Aw, shucks," Ryan drawled. "You ain't nothin' but a copycat." He has to meet everyone who comes into our house to check them out, and he is known for spending hours outside, even in below freezing temperatures, to keep a certain desperado cat out of the backyard.
