Today a prompt seemed promising when viewed.
How intricate the theme of what it ask.
I thought out many angles if pursued,
Surveying every aspect of the task.
I inked upon the parchment words I'd use,
Supporting varied flare in its finesse.
Between the craft and beauty I'd infuse
Uniquely something only I'd express.
Led solely on the vigor to compete,
Left damaged was my heart when closely read.
Submissions weren't allowed by the elite.
How bias now these prompts are sadly spread.
If one has won within a month a game,
Then turn away and hide your skills in shame.

Writing Prompt |
Please write a rhyming acrostic poem on any subject, but it should be at least eight letters long. |
Author Notes
What can I say, being able to play these daily prompts only half of the week
because I happened to win a contest in the last 30 days is well, this acrostic. Lol.
I thought of an idea for today's prompt only to see AGAIN I couldn't enter it.
I think there should be two prompts a day, one winless, one for everyone.
That wouldn't exclude anyone then.
