A swan song of a leaf by Jesse James Doty |
When I returned from San Francisco I went to my favorite place called Elk River Estuary where I traveled through a pathway lined with bountiful trees on both sides. Both, my companion, and I noticed the beautiful purplish color of a dying leaf laying on the ground. My thoughts were what a lovely way to go peacefully and graciously into the earth and return to nature’s womb. Unlike the dying leaf. I am filled with hope and exuberance that soon I will be able to walk. With the help of my physical therapists from Home Health, I will be walking with the aid of a walker and before too long I will be walking without any aid at all. Grateful to be back home I find no need to recount my experiences while I was away. It is water under the bridge, as my friend Bobbi is fond of saying. I couldn’t agree with her more. Happiness is found Where you expect it to be Home where there is love I want to give a shout-out to all my friends on Fan Story who have stood by me through all of this. Thank you.
