The sun's rays wrap me in a warm embrace.
I close my eyes and inhale deeply the scent of fresh-tilled earth and sweet honeysuckle.
Lying among the wildflowers hearing the birdsong and the buzzing bees,
I exhale slowly as my soul takes flight.
Higher it flies as the clouds arrange themselves into pictures.
My soul hitches a ride on the breeze gliding over the treetops,
then fields of golden wheat,
soaring,
exhilarated by nature's masterpiece.
As the evening progresses,
brushstrokes of color stream across the sky.
Flying high,
my soul aspires to new heights mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of creation.
