"Quiet!" roared Dave. "It's Bill's choice tonight!"
No-one messed with Dave, a powerful tattooed prisoner. The disgruntled inmates settled back.
Bella's beautiful voice and compelling presence filled the television screen.
Bill was transfixed.
He turned to Dave, his eyes wet with tears. "She was amazing!"
The announcement came: "The winner of The Voice for 2021 is Bella Smith!"
"Let's hear her speech!" Dave silenced everyone.
" … I wrote that song for my father, and dedicate it to him. I love him very much, and miss him every day. He made some bad choices, he's in prison …"
Bill wept.
