In Greek mythology, Styx is a river that forms the boundary between Earth and the Underworld.
A vestibule is a chamber or channel opening into another.
"hoo-eet" is my onomatopoeic attempt at the call of the Willow Warbler.
A yahoo is a brash or noisy person, a philistine.
A galoot is usually somewhat lovable in an oafish sort of way.
