Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A Sonnet

The Subtle Glow

Just as the subtle glow of morning's rise
this poet's pen once welcomed day's embrace.
It sought the brilliance beauty signifies
and valued every moment while in chase.

Each breath would whisper art in sweet release.
Each sight beheld was joyously surreal.
The earth itself was its own masterpiece
that led a humble man to love and feel.

But years have sadly dulled the poet's quill.
The sun that rose now settles to the west.
The coming nightfall seems so harshly still
and seldom shares its joys upon request.

Perhaps some day the sun shall rise again
and wake the poet's will to craft in pen.
