Dexter Dope, the Willygog,

lived near Mary Wilson's bog.

Mary fell so in love with him —

(though Willygogs are kinda grim).

 

They strolled throughout the bog at night,

to see them both caused such a fright

that old man Murray moved away,

he'd not return, some folks would say.

 

Willygogs are filthy, jumpy —

leathery skins, brown and lumpy.

They have huge teeth, and vicious smiles,

their bouncy springs can hop for miles!

 

Ole Dexter used those strong springs, too,

to hop with frogs, and kangaroo.

But Miss Wilson was not deterred;

church wedding bells were all she heard.







 

See, Dexter Dope was a 'ladies 'gog',

he'd had affairs around the bog,

with faeries, trolls and harpies, too!

Mary was fine, she never knew.

 

Until one very fateful day

when old man Murray came back to stay,

then took sweet Mary to Tadpole Stream

and spilled his guts on all he'd seen.

 

Dexter Willygog was playing her,

why, he'd even nuzzled Wuzzy's fur!

Slept high up in Heedle's tree-top home,

oh boy, how that Willygog could roam!

 

If you go strolling past Mary's house,

Dex's skin adorns it, that slimy louse.

As Mary learned with fascination,

Willygogs make great insulation!
