My Memory

by Sandra Stoner-Mitchell

Where Pixies Play Dixie
By Sandra Stoner Mitchell

memory has taken a trip to a place
That tickles the tips of my lips on my face,
Where goblins a hobbling are messing around
To a mystical, magical, musical sound.

My memories are muddled and fuddled...who cares?
Just mingling and tingling with life unawares,
Where time can go slowly and stop for a while
To capture the magic that brings on a smile.

My memories are jiggling and wiggling around
To take me to places no other has found,
Where pixies play Dixie and elves have a ball,
Delighting in feathers that flutter and fall.

Today didn't happen so why should I care?
Tomorrow? Who knows? I might not be there!
But yesterday beckons me back with a smile,
So sorry, I'm gone...I'll be back in a while.
