Clapperclaw- Many sea faring men referred to tentacled sea monsters, much like the mythical beast, the Kraken, as a "Clapperclaw"..
Riggings- [rig-ing]

1. the ropes, chains, etc., employed to support and work the masts, yards, sails, etc., on a ship.
2. lifting or hauling tackle.

We all feel lost at times, I believe. It's as if we're chasing an elusive beast called success across a vast and stormy sea. Dreams, if visualized and our course remains steadfast and true, can't be compromised by greed. For writers, the primary motivation should be to inform, entertain and possibly even inspire, but it should never be all about making money.
