Genesis 3 shows that Adam and Eve's attempt to cover their sin was useless before Him to whom all things are "naked and open". That being the case, God provided them new clothing from slain animals. This pictured the death of Christ and His ability to cover us with His righteousness making us completely acceptable to God who is Holy and without sin.
