The fastest mare in the world
Black Caviar
by Aussie
Thunder from down under
Flying hooves - racing moves Pink silks with polka dots Jockey gave no whip Born to run - black mare She has won every race From twenty-five starts Black Caviar blitzed the field No horse could catch her Up there with the best Ascot was amazed at her speed No whip ever used - no need This amazing mare retired Well before her time Her racing days are over Owners saved her for stud Her record will stand forever Just like Pharlap - never beaten Crowds came to cheer her on She will be missed forever long. |

Black Caviar has just been retired from racing, her owners felt she needed a rest. After entering and winning twenty-five races from twenty-five starts she reminds us of the wonder horse Pharlap - he was never beaten. Every nation needs heroes and the little mare gave us her all. I don't follow horseracing (I think the only way to follow a horse is with a shovel!) I do have a passion for horses.
