Spoilt kids aren't happy kids.
Christopher Colby
by BethShelby
Young Christopher Colby wanted his way.
He fumed and he raged and wouldn't obey. Chris didn't care what his friends had to say, and they went home weeping when they came to play. Mom didn't know what to do when he cried. He had all the toys that she could provide. When his dad suggested he play outside, Chris was unhappy and fit to be tied. He threw rocks at the dog and teased the cat. He hid his dad's keys and sat on his hat. He yelled at his aunt and said she was fat, and everyone claimed that Chris was a brat. His parents declared that they'd had enough. Maybe his problem, he'd had too much stuff It was time for someone to call his bluff. His dad decided he had to get tough. "From now on, young man, we'll do it my way. There are rules you must follow every day, You've chores to be done before you can play. Startomg right now, without further delay." Christopher didn't know how to react. He'd gotten his way and that was a fact. It wasn't too late to get back on track. Parental training was something he lacked. *** Everyone is pleased with all the new trends, and folks have stopped giving in to his yens. Now Chris does chores for the money he spends. At last, he's happy and has lots of friends. |
