When will we stop fighting!
Wilderness
by Aussie
Whistling winds, barren lands
Images of destruction Landscaped by foreign hands Devastating nature's construction Earth shattering shelling opening sands Ravished peoples taken by suction Near to death some survive, army shout commands Early intervention, solid instruction Saving lives, holding hands Stop the fighting, inhumane extinction. |
Acrostic Poetry Contest contest entry

Acrostic poem - contest entry. I have made it rhyme AB,AB. The world at war; Afghanistan is a desert, the innocents suffer, peace keepers are killed. When will we stop the fighting? Each theatre of war becomes a wilderness.
