A different Halloween poem
Prehistoric Souls
by mermaids
a roar in the wind
T-rex marches by his environment long gone but his soul roams my street I could always feel their presence the ancient ones a pterdactyl swoops down missing my head by inches invisible raptors follow the mailman fascination overcomes me every Halloween the ghosts of dinosaurs demand to be seen and heard unseen by most eyes but clear to me a brontosaurus munches leaves while T-rex stomps and growls these prehistoric souls are still here leaving footprints damaging vehicles and telephone poles evoking my curiosity the budding paleontologist in me rejoices when Halloween arrives for these creatures come forth and enter my world |

Just imagining the ghosts of dinosaurs roaming around. What fun!
