Discerning the truth

Confusion

by Robert Zimmerman

When hardened facts present themselves,
we sometimes try denying.
But if our heart rejects what’s true,
is that the same as lying?

Truth seeks to find receptive minds
upon our hearts, it's spying.
But when we fail to face such facts,
our eyes succumb to crying.

When truth prevails and souls accept,
we feel our doubts go flying.
So only when we feel real peace,
will tearful eyes start drying.

With all of the "stuff" we hear, read, and see on our phones, computers and TVs, we can become confused, angry, and discouraged. We must be discerning about what we are confronted with. It is important to know things, but it is just as important to know WHY we believe what we do.

I created the graphic using MS Copilot.
