Barb’s forty-six-year marriage is to Brian, her sweetheart
Her faith and family, been most important from the start
She raised four boys, has three grandsons, and are terrific guys
But now she has four granddaughters, for Barb, a female prize
In Fort Hood, Texas, twenty-three years and proud army wife
She would not trade it for the world or have a different life
A teacher twenty six years, where she mostly taught first-grade
Now that she's retired, she has more time in the home she made
Her faith in God is very strong, and where her values stem
When I write other birthday poems, she’ll send message to them
Sounds like their dachshund entertains, along with their two cats
They keep on shaking their heads at their antic acrobats
Her writing gives her peace as she’s a published novelist
If you have not been reading her, come see what you have missed
Our Barb has written five novels, you'll find at Amazon
FanStory 2023, she is ranked number one
So, Barb, we’ll have your party near the Fort Hood Texas Flag
I’ll give a speech and I know that for you, I’m sure to brag
We’ll tell you what you mean to us, and give hugs in advance
We wish you, Happy Birthday, Barb; now sing, Lord of the Dance
