She's like a little Spring-time bird, that needs to navigate 

Born in North Carolina; last flew south for Texas state

Lived in Australia, New Zealand; she even lived in France

She's traveled all over the world and seen more than a glance



She is an expert bridge player, she is magnifico 

She once  played with Omar Sharif, from Dr Zhivago

She loves to golf, and her writing we're privileged to see

She now puts her heart into learning the ukulele 


 Our Sarah has two sons; one lives twenty minutes away

Charlie and Kevin are their names, and both brighten her day

But Alec, Jessica and Chris are her precious grandkids

They're closest to her heart, they always get her highest bids



She roots for her old college team, Tennessee, Volunteers

And there will be excitement, if they win, you'll hear her cheers

But that will not be all you hear; she doesn't plan to stop
