by Paul McFarland
With the Star of David emblazoned on their clothes, Paul, his wife, and their young child, Anne were herded onto the railcar with many other families. There had been stories of these train rides which put fear into the hearts of Paul and his wife.

Anne, holding her doll and looking into her mother’s troubled face, said, “I can’t wait until we get into our new home.”
