For shaken by his country

Comrade Pops

by Maria Millsaps

I used to call him Pops, but he was a prisoner in one of the worst penitentiaries. In his past, he had been a KGB agent. His mission was to gather intelligence. His language skills and electronic training advanced him to a good job within the prison. One day we found him hanging, a note in his hand, "I was for shaken by those I had served with my life." Comrade Pops, for shaken by his own country.
