Insurrection

With last year's insurrection,
Our country moved in a disastrous direction

It was an embarrassment to our fairly young country
Victim of riot and criminality

In the Capitol of Washington, D.C.,
Enfolded a gruesome chapter of history

We pray for future election years,
There will be truth and honesty, without any fears
