At times we all waiver ---
When You're Feeling Lost
by Begin Again
I am my worst enemy!
One of my favorite songs is Rodney Atkins’s “If You’re Going Through Hell” because it’s a reminder that regardless of how dark it looks, the light is waiting right outside for you or me. It’s difficult when faced with tragedy, fear, or the unknown to remember that we aren’t alone. Having faith is knowing that God is always with us.

The last few weeks have been a tough time for me. I opened the door to fear, frustration, and defeat and invited them into my heart. I, the strong family matriarch, the never-give-up fighter, succumbed to it all without sharing it with my family.
It’s been a sleepless night. At three in the morning, I wrote an exceptional person and burdened her with my thoughts, for which I apologize. At five, as the sky was turning from dark to dawn, another song started playing, Kenny Chesney’s “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.” It’s a song that was on the radio the first time I left my mom’s grave. Was it a message from Heaven? I don’t really know, but my heart likes to believe so.

In a few hours, I will be having surgery to remove a tumor above the palate of my mouth, near the pharynx. The odds are that everything will be okay, and I’ll wonder why I allowed my fears to consume me. The reason for this post is because while feeling sorry for myself, I came across the artwork used with this post, and it was the only message I truly needed.
So, I’ll open my door, ask the unwanted visitors to leave, and place my faith in God’s hands, where it should have been all along.
We all go through difficult times, and some of us think we have to do it alone, but remember, we are never really alone. God’s walking beside us, and if we are too weak to go on, he will carry us regardless of our journey.
I am wishing each and every one of you a blessed day. I’ve left a basket of smiles, hugs, hearts filled with love, and many prayers sitting here waiting for you. Help yourself to as many as you need.
Always, Carol
“IF YOU’RE GOING THROUGH HELL” BY RODNEY ATKINS
Well, you know those times when you feel like there's a sign there on your back
Says I don't mind if ya kick me seems like everybody has
Things go from bad to worse, you'd think they can't get worse than that
And then they do
You step off the straight and narrow and you don't know where you are
Use the needle of your compass to sew up your broken heart
Ask directions from a genie in a bottle of Jim Beam
And she lies to you
That's when you learn the truth
If you're going through hell
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
Well, I been deep down in that darkness I been down to my last match
Felt a hundred different demons breathing fire down my back
And I knew that if I stumbled I'd fall right into the trap
That they were laying, yeah
But the good news is there's angels everywhere out on the street
Holding out a hand to pull you back upon your feet
The one's that you been dragging for so long you're on your knees
You might as well be praying
Guess what I'm saying
If you're going through hell
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah, if you're going through hell
Keep on moving, face that fire
Walk right through it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
If you're going through hell
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah, if you're going through hell
Keep on moving, face that fire
Walk right through it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah, you might get out before the devil even knows you're there, yeah
“EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE ALRIGHT” BY KENNY CHESNEY, DAVID L. MURPHY
She rattled the ice in my plastic cup
I said "yes m'am", fill her up
Tell me something good that I don't know
'Cause this world's been kicking my behind
Life ain't been a friend of mine
Lately I've been feeling kinda low
And she looked back over her shoulder
Pointed at the sign hanging up on the wall
It said
Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be alright
And nobody's gotta worry 'bout nothing
Don't go hittin' that panic button
It ain't worth spilling your drink
Everything's gonna be alright
Alright, alright
So I nodded my head and said, "that's for sure"
Dropped a few bucks in the mason jar
Felt those good old neon vibes on me
And whatever monkey that was on my back
He jumped off just like that
Right into the deep blue sea
And I looked back over her shoulder
Thinking 'bout the sign hanging up on the wall
That said
Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be alright
Nobody's gotta worry 'bout nothing
Don't go hitting that panic button
It ain't near as bad as you think
Everything's gonna be alright
Alright, alright
There ain't no doubt it's gonna work out
Come on, sing it with me
There ain't no doubt it's gonna work out
Come on and sing it with me
Everything's gonna be alright
Everything's gonna be alright
And nobody's gotta worry 'bout nothing
Don't go hitting that panic button
It ain't near as bad as you think
Everything's gonna be alright
Alright (is gonna be alright), alright (is gonna be alright)
Everything's gonna be alright
Alright (is gonna be alright), alright (is gonna be alright)
(Everything's gonna be alright)
(Is gonna be alright, is gonna be alright)
(Everything's gonna be alright)
(Is gonna be alright, is gonna be alright)
