Double Limerick

Poetry Contest
Please write TWO limericks. They MUST be connected on the same theme - a continuous story in other words.

Limericks are traditional bawdy, so please include a subtle 'naughty' element WITHOUT being overtly coarse or offensive. Completely 'clean' limericks are NOT acceptable.

Each limerick must have five lines with a rhyme pattern of AABBA, so that's TEN lines in all, separated by a line space in between each limerick. Rhymes may be 'perfect' or 'near'.

The syllable count must be as follows:

1st, 2nd and 5th lines must have either 8, 9 or 10 syllables in each (all the same or a mixture).

3rd and 4th lines must have a syllable count of five or six in each (the same or a mixture)

No artwork or sound effects.

No author notes whatsoever.

TWO colour presentation (same for both) - one for the background, and one for the type.

'Description' above title must read, 'Contest entry', and NOTHING else there.

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 56.00 member dollars. There are 10 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 126.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Friday, March 4, 2016.
