So this is where it all began. I like that you went into detail with the protagonist. I hope to read the entire novel. It sounds interesting and I'm sure I'll enjoy it..

Hi there,
Sounds like quite a departure but there's something quite liberating about writing in the now rather than having a lot of intricate history.
It's finished, but as with my many of my novels - delete the first my.

Hi Barbara,
I've been away for a while. I am happy to see you have a new novel. At 20,000 words, I believe that is a novella, which I read before the pandemic began, is exactly what publishers were looking for. People wanted shorter books they could read on plane ride or while waiting at doctor's offices and finish off in few sessions.
I am excited to see what you have for this one, and it looks like I'm not too far behind yet.
The other novel looks like it is finished so maybe I can just sit down and read it in one or two sittings. That's the way I prefer to read a book anyway.

This is the longest novel I have written it's over 100,000 words. That's scary and the subject and style is a little different for me. I'm worried it won't go over well.

I like it so far. Keep those chapters coming

Well, it sounds like a good plot to begin with. Of course all stories have to develop over time. I think you'll just have to see where this one goes. And dogs are always better than cats. (I like dogs.) This is a very helpful post, never seen one like this. Thanx for sharing your concerns, honesty, and story. (P.S, I would put paragraph six next or before the one about the main characters husband.:)

I'm back after a long sabbatical , and just in time to follow your new novel. Sounds like an interesting plot and one I will be able to identify with. This has been quite a year involving so many stresses. Glad to be back to hide and rest in the written words of friends.

-my many of my novels should be many of my novels
-Got to watch them characters taking stories where they want them to go instead of you
-to same high school should be to the same high school
Sounds interesting - a single mother with four kids offers plenty of potential opportunities.

I like your novel's thoughts plus storyline. You will never know if it's good enough until you publish and start marketing it. Do you have an editor? I would be questionable as to the title "The Football Novel"; the world is very political when it comes to football. This I have learned from experience.

The title WILL NOT have footbal in it. I can promise that. I just needed something short to call it. If you read my notes, I stated that I would like help with the title of this novel. I raised four boys and my rear-end graced many a bleachers. That's all the following of football I'm doing.

I wrote a few novels. Somehow my novels became a game of football. A dishonest game of football. That's my opinion. I did not write them for that purpose. I wrote them not to become famous and not for free writing o television. When it comes to trusting, who can you trust?
