Hi Bucketlist,
This is a sad poem about how the end of a relationship can change all the aspects of your life. Hopefully in time it is all returned to you by finding new love and faith.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

This is a very true poem, Trisha. When people fall in love, they think it will last forever. Usually though, it doesn't. It almost always ends in a loveless relationship. Depending on how serious the relationship was, we do die spiritually and emotionally. It's a horrible time of life. It's a lot worse than being sad. Like you said, it is closer to a death.
Good to hear from you. I hope you are well.

There is nothing like that trapped in feeling of being in a loveless relationship. Especially a marriage... especially if there are children involved. When the joy is gone, the depression sets in and then nothing gets accomplished. It's very sad. Your poem captures the essence of that situation really well. Great job! -January L.
