This retelling of Biblical events is well written. The intertwining of current events was a stroke of clever writing. This reader was entertained and educated in the ways of our God. Thanks for sharing this well written work.
Have a great day!

Brigitte

Sally,

How perceptive of you. And bless her poor hurting soul. I can imagine how she must have been hurting inside. I'm so glad she found you at just the right time. Thank you!

Some notes:
1.) one who would usher in righteous(ness)

2.) "How can I pray for you(?") I asked

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for the excellent review and critique. So glad you could appreciate and relate to my article. Oh my, my blindness got me here. I am glad you caught those. I use both voice text and large print typing for low vision. I still missed them...and looking right at them!! Yikes! I corrected them just now.

Thank you so much. You are a great help, dear Robin.
    All my best,
    Sal :+)

WOW! Great story. I have a friend who had 3 abortions while in college. She had to deal with that, but as a Christian now, raising 3 amazing daughters she has more than made up for it. They love the Lord and serve Him faithfully. We are such fools to believe abortion doesn't harm anyone, not only is a life taken but a woman and often the man have to live with what they've done and now new laws stating you can take a baby's life even after birth. What is wrong with people!! Anyway well done and so glad this young lady has a child now and feels forgiven. Rox

Thank you so much for the outstanding review and encouragement. I am so pleased to hear about your friend and the forgiveness and newness of life imparted through Christ. God wants us to get this!! I don?t understand these new anti-life laws being passed. It makes me so sad. It is tantamount to murder in the first to me. My cause is always to defend and speak for this little ones, each one sacred to God. Our society defends animal rights better than humans. This is not right.
    All my best,

True if you did the same thing so a puppy, people would be up in arms. ={ I don't want puppies hurt or killed either but people come first.

Sally, your title makes it very clear what you want the reader to know, but I think you are trying to do too much here by telling a biblical story and then a personal one and trying to LINK them with your theme.
GOOD: I like how you set the first story with the murder. Good summary of how Cain's actions are a direct result of what happened in the Garden. In the second story you tell it straight-forward and evoke sympathy for the young woman and admiration for the narrator who took the time to help her.
WEAK: in the biblical account you go back and forth in time and for awhile draw in the serpent as a character but then forget about him. I truly feel you need to post this as TWO separate stories. If you do, you can take more time to tell the second one. I'd suggest using more dialog. Rod

While I agree wholeheartedly with this article, the Sixth Star is for the writing of it. The writer has devised a powerful argument against abortion. I wish this could be read in Congress. If you know your representative is against abortion, why don't you send them a copy with that request. It might happen. This is extremely well written. It grabs the reader and will not let go.

Thank you very much for the outstanding review and encouraging support. I will take your advice and get this to my pro life representative in my state. That is a great idea. Thank you, Jaye. I am fanning you right now. We need to stick together in the days ahead!
All my best to you and yours. I hope you are warm and safe.

The "Polar Vortex" moved out during the night. Today it got up to 40 degrees F. I guess it is our January thaw, a day late. I am glad you are going to send your poem to your representative. You might send it to some Pro-Life groups, too. They might like to use it in promotional material. Of course, they probably would want you to donate it.

A truly touching story. I liked how you draw the basis all the way back to Adam and Eve, and revealed how Satan's plan continues through to today. You provided compassion, and lead the way to confession, and forgiveness. I was pleased got her second chance.

Oh, Sally -- a beautiful write! I have tears in my eyes...there are more young ladies like the one you describe here than, I think, many know -- and even their parents are not their support group because the parents encouraged the action. And they are told they did nothing wrong...I don't know the answer, I am just thankful for the young lady in your story. I do hope she is getting counseling as well...Christian counseling with a trusted provider. Thank you for sharing, ma'am! :) ;) Yvette

Thank you so much for the excellent review and encouraging comments. This story was been written when I watching watching the news about the decision to make the late term abortion rights legal in New York. It confirmed I was supposed to post this. It seemed more necessary than ever. Yes, I met with her and other women at my church. My husband was one of staff pastors at the time with a degree in psychology. Our church staff and counselors saw many just like her over the years. The men always had a woman present, or, sometimes two, when giving advice and counseling. I was glad to serve in that capacity for many years. My husband and I offered marriage and financial counseling as a ministry of our church, as well. I worked with abused and neglected women and children to get them help and off the streets. I was very active in ministry alongside my husband in those younger years. We own a business together now. and I am a blind writer who writes for FanStory. God still uses me in different ways these days, but, I am just glad he still does.

Hi, Sally,

What a blessing! I know it may have been hard to listen to her story - but I know you brought her a wonderful sense of peace. How joyful it must have been to watch her as she blossomed into the fullness of her pregnancy.

Thank you for sharing this,

~patty~

Why can't we give ten stars? I want to give you ten!

Sal, this story, from beginning to end is like nothing I have read in such a long time. You took the story of redemption and applied it to a modern day situation. Your story flowed so well and was so eloquently descriptive. I needed to read this just to get the fire back in my spirit.

Do you realize what a blessing this story would be to so many women out there either who have had an abortion or are contemplating one? How cool would it be to get copywrited and then print out this story and leave it with abortion clinics, counselors, churches. Just a thought ... I get carried away sometimes :)

Pretend my six stars is ten stars (LOL). This was truly a GREAT write, Sale.

Much love to you!

Gale

Thank you with all my heart. This means so much. I was just asking God if I should post this again. I think this my answer. God bless you for your support. A lady at my church said it was my best yet. I am deeply honored that God uses me.

Sally, I believe and have faith without seeing. This is a powerful story it should be read by all. I don't believe in abortion. It is just killing another human being that cannot defend itself. And yes I believe God forgives if you repent, but few are those that I entrust my sins. This is a good story.

Thank you so much dear poet. I always value and appreciate your good opinion. This was a heavy one to write after what just transpired in New York last week. I was sickened by the evil in that state making something so heinous?legal. I was compelled to write this. I am glad you could appreciate it?s merit and message.
    All my best,
    Sally
