He's not going to be pleased, is he? And involving Joey, that won't go down well. I can understand the ups and downs of Marsha's emotions, this part is going to be scary. I can't wait to read what happens when he finds out. Off to find out!! :)) Sandra xx

I'm wondering if you have a friend with this problem. Bill tells her the steps that will be taken for his rehabilitation. The conflict may come in when she is forced to tell the children.

Sounds like Trenton is in for a big surprise. I hope Marsha goes through with the intervention.
Many toxic relationships keep going do to money.
Good character development and plot.
Well done

Oh dear, this doesn't sound good! Trenton is being unknowingly coerced into something he knows nothing about nor given permission for. And all therapy depends upon the client's self-motivation. An intriguing dilemma, especially if Marsha doesn't come up-front with him. Thanks for sharing this very engaging story, Beth. Take care Debbie

Thank you, Debbie, I think this is way interventions are always done. If they know ahead of time they won't show and they won't listen unless there a is group and there are consequences if they don't comply. There is a 80 to 90 percent chance they will go this way.

I can feel the tension building within her. It would not be easy. I was wondering why the firm could not present it without her, merely saying that it was a workplace requirement if he is to continue on. Keep work and family separate. However, it is very well written, and I am enjoying the story.

Thank you, Wendy. I'm not sure why the firm needed her there but her life would definitely be impacted with him gone so I guess they wanted her on board. This is the way it went for a close friend of mine.

This really puts poor Marsha in a very tight spot. Can she put on an act like Trenton can? How will she be able to deal with the sense of betrayal she would feel because his boss made her agree to the secret plan? Great job setting up the situation.

Thank you, Helen. Since this isn't my personal experience this one is harder to write. I'm feeling my way along.

Holey Moley! This is sad and worrisome. I have not dealt with alcohol addiction. But my last husband had been addicted to alcohol before I met him. He switched to weed then Cocaine. I left him. Then 10 years later he called and said he was all cleaned up. He slowly got back on weed, now meth. I left in 2022.
Addiction is a disease and will manifest in some way. For some it is food, or sex. But it is still addiction. Good writing. Karen

Oh yes, the kids are certainly at a pivotal age and they really need two parents reasonably in a goodish place to do guide and help them, they certainly don't need two warring parents to worry about, the need stability, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thank, you, Roy. The children get a warped knowledge of what marriage should be like. This is a friend's story. The children suffered as a result with the own adult experiences.
