It is classic, and crispy clean like the air in the picture. Every word is wonderfully selected, and beautiful. In my view it is a perfect 5/4/5. It just cannot be better. Totally love it!

Love this one, "untouched by men" and "frigid virgin" are so very descriptive and give an excellent image, enhancing the artwork, very well written and presented****kahpot

What a great picture of the frozen tundra, Gypsy. Your words seemed to catch the art of frozen land. I really took no offense to your wording. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed be n hugs!

Love the description and wordplay, Gypsy!
You are truly the master of modern haiku.
Just a thought: Would "land's frigid virgin" make your satori stronger?

Thank you for sharing!

I love the simile, frigid virgin land and untouched by men. It looks like Finland or Antarctica. It's a good day to write a winter Haiku because it's so hot today in most parts of the world except for LA and San Diego.

Well done.

I live in pasadena, close to Los Angeles... we have pretty good weather. My daughter went to Sacramento, in Central California, and it was 104 degrees!

Hi Gypsy, your photo is beautiful and it made me smile. I'm 50% Russian, and my mother always use to say that she was going to send my father to Siberia. Your poem has good imagery and alliteration. I especially liked:

frigid virgin land
(G, if global warming continues, even Siberia will start to melt.
Great satori line.)

A pleasure to read. I like the blue gray font. Great presentation. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

You're 50 % Russian, that's so interesting...I'm 100% Spanish but I live in Southern California. I like your mom's sense of humor. LoL hahaha

I'm 50% Russian and 50% Irish. God has blessed me and cursed me with the best and worst of each culture. Lol. 104 temp is unbearable.

That's a super picture! I like your word play about the "frigid virgin land." I hope it does stay free from human encroachment so all the wildlife survives!
In your notes:
There are moos, fox, sable (moose?)

Gypsy,

One can feel the cold air on the desolate tundra through your verse. There is an intended or unintended connect between men and virgin in your few words. Your icy blue colorings is an allusion to the coldness.

Personally, I think you can use 'man' instead of 'men.' IMHO, it is a generic meaning for more than one (human being).
