I enjoy all the details you include in each chapter, like the barista apologizing for being late, and the horrible conditions of Layla's holding cell.

I loved seeing how much of a fighter Layla is. She didn't understand all the pieces involved in the case, but she knew Harrison was lying about everything.

Now, who is in Harrison's office. Could it be Garth Woodman?

    Thank you, Lorraine
It's extremely nice to know that the reader notices the little things and doesn't just skim the chapter for he basics. Thank you for telling me that you enjoyed it. Layla was overwhelmed at first but she didn't give up and when Harrison started badgering her, she fought back. Go Layla!

Now it's time to drop the hatchet on Ole Harrison. LOL

It looks like things aren't going so will for William. I don't know who is in his office but I hope it is Garth. He wouldn't be expecting the FBI to show up. I seem to have forgotten what has happened to the missing that DNA evidence planted. There should be a way to get the real DNA and prove it isn't Alyssa. I'm glad Layla is speaking up for herself and telling William off. I'm enjoying it.

Alyssa is alive and well so as soon as she steps forward, they will have her DNA. Layla was overwhelmed for a bit but no she's ready to fight the Chief. He's about to go down. LOL

Oh, I just love to see the composure and control crumbling all around this egomaniac, Harrison. He's woven quite an evil web of deceit, and something tells me it won't be long before he's inexorably trapped.
Layla has a spicy flavor of guts and a real spine! Hah. It won't be long now...............

Things are about to go Pop! in the Chief's face and he won't know what hit him. Glad you enjoyed this one. I wasn't sure how the interrogation would go.

That's right! He thought she was a pretty face from New York and she'd back down. She was frightened at first but she found her strength and gave it too him!

I'm hoping that man in Harrison's office is Garth and he's going to put his jerk in his place. I can't wait until they rescue Layla and Allyssa gets her memory back.

He tried again. "Cat got your tongue? (again,)

After removing the handcuffs, he smirked at Layla, "Are you comfy now?" (Layla.)

Things are just about ready to go Pop! in Harrison's face. He thinks he's so tough but he's got a lot to account for this time. And I hope I've got all the right people to set him straight. We're almost there!

Carol, you are doing a good job with this ego-manic Chief of Police. You have slowly introduced him, and with each new layer of his personality, we like him less and less. Nice work. Terry.

Thank you, Terry. I am glad that his character came across as I hoped. He's losing control, but I believe his days are numbers. Thanks for the kind words and review.
