Poor Garth to have to share that horrible information and Allie came at him like little attack dog. I was hoping she would have noticed how hard it was for him and listened. But that's just my impression but I think you are keeping more in character of Allie's personality.

Let's hope that she can see that it wasn't her sister (maybe by the tattoo although she would not necessarily know that for sure.) This one is not an easy read as we can sense the pain and distress in each. But therefore it's realistic and authentic and well written!

I'm sure Allie would devastated at the point. You are doing a good job of showing that. I'm anxious to find out if she will believe it is her sister after seeing the body.

Heartrending--torturous build-up to the delivery of the devastating news--excruciating to contemplate Garth's position--you rendered his torment--and Allie's perfectly.

You did a perfect job keeping Garth tough, you can't lose that, and showing he can be tender for somebody he loves. This is good writing. I applaud you. In my next novel, I'm writing a scene that's buffaloing me. I need to make my readers feel the pain.

That's how much a man should love his wife, wanting to protect her no matter, but the poor girl is facing the worst thing a human being can face, the loss of a close loved under the most heinous situation. Loved this episode, it must have taken a lot to write it, but your bravery is beyond question. Well done, an excellent post. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Good. The dead body was linked to the murder victim Jaz. It made Allie very sad. Are Jaz and Allie best friends? I wonder what else is coming.
Well done.

Jaz is Allie's younger sister. The ex-con Vito wants revenge on Allie and has found a scheme including her sister. Thanks for reading and following the story.

Well that didn't take long! This is another one to tug at the heart strings, Carol. You do the chatter of Allie so well, I felt Garth's frustration and wanted to yell at her to shut up! Do you know someone like that? Great chapter.
